The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released new player rankings. Star batsman Babar Azam has been demoted in the new rankings for the Test format, while Saud Shakeel has been promoted.
According to the ICC, Saud Shakeel has risen three places to sixth in the Test rankings, which is the best position of his career, while Pakistani star batsman Babar Azam has dropped two places to 17th.

In the Test rankings for batsmen, England’s Harry Brook and Joe Root are in first and second positions, while New Zealand’s star batsman Kane Williamson is in third place.

Among bowlers, India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains in first place with 907 points, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is in second and Pat Cummins is in third place. Noman Ali, the only bowler from the national team in the top ten bowlers, has dropped one place to ninth place.
In the T20 batsmen’s rankings, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have dropped one place each to seventh and ninth, while Australian player Travis Head retains his top spot. On the other hand, West Indies’ Aqeel Hussain continues to be the top bowler. No Pakistani bowler is included in the top 10.
